Enable Save button on Quick Create forms after validation errors using javascript

I was adding validation rules to Quick Create Lead form and after the validation errors fired, the form’s save button was disabled. So even though you fix the data and try to save again the form would not let you save as the save button was disabled.

I spent 4- 5 hours trying to enable the save button. Eventually I grabbed the button by its name (had to look into html code to find the name) and manually enabled it using JavaScript.

After the button was enabled … VOILA… I was able to save the form again

Here’s the JavaScript to enable the save button on Quick Create form after the validation errors disabled it

var QuickSaveButton = top.document.getElementById(‘globalquickcreate_save_button_NavBarGloablQuickCreate’);
QuickSaveButton .disabled = false;
